How to build a brand
How to build a brand

At one stage or another, all businesses will find themselves lost. Thats ok, it’s probably because you’ve hit a good spell and you’ve been so busy working in your business that you havent had time to work on it! But hitting a difficult spell, like we all do from time to time, can suddenly throw you into a sense of feeling lost and directionless.

In times like these, I try and follow my own advice but as a business owner myself, I find it hard to look inward, to ask the difficult questions of myself and answer them honestly and in a way that will hopefully win me more business.

I know I’m not the only one.

It seems that I am pretty good at asking those questions of others though, and thats important for the job I do. Sitting down with small business owners, or even large business owners, and facilitating workshops that help them see the wood for the trees is what I do well.

Interpreting what you tell me and turning it into actionable and structured to do lists (which lets face it is all a strategy really is), is better still.

To refocus and re-energise yourself, my build a brand workshop really works, even though I do say so myself.

Here’s how…

Armed with flip charts, post it notes and a whole lot of coffee, we sit down together and have a constructive brain dump.

We talk about

  • Who your target audience is
  • What your brand mission is
  • What your primary purpose is
  • What your offering is
  • What your competitors are doing
  • What your key qualities and benefits are
  • What your brand personality is and how you want people to view you
  • What your elevator pitch is
  • What you need to do right now and what can wait

It can take place virtually over the course of a few days or I can come to your place of work to deliver it. Either way, what you will be left with is a plan that you can refer to time and time again.
