Precision Investment Castings
PI Castings approached The Design Grove to take a look at their branding. They wanted to update their logo which lead to a whole rebranding project.
Using the concept of pouring metal, I drew a new icon and worked on a clean set of fonts for a new logo using the existing brand colours that the company wanted to keep.
I designed a website concept which was given to a web development company to produce. The website was built on wordpress.
Working alongside the Sales Director I re-wrote and simplified a lot of the existing web content. I wrote a number of articles for the website blog which featured a ‘day in the life’ of the company.
To support the web design and the content marketing strategy, I coordinated a photoshoot with a professional photographer that supported the concept of bringing people to the front of their marketing activity.
Social Media Management
I managed all of PICs social media platforms, LinkedIn and Twitter and scheduled 3 per week.
In support of the rebrand, I also produced internal branding, documents and signage.
The company wanted to retain the black and red colours but modernise the logo. The image shows before and after. The crucible (the pouring container) containing molten metal inspired the graphic symbol that has been used.
I wanted the website to show the personality of the company and immerse the visitor into the business. There needed to be a better balance between product oriented and people oriented imagery so the photography was the first part of the puzzle. The people are the hero’s of the website imagery.
I used the new imagery through-out the social media content and complimented that with articles about the various employees.
“Gillian has delivered a complete overhaul of our marketing and branding and I would highly recommend her to any business looking to increase their marketing activity.”
