Case Study
CAlder composites ltd

Project Overview

Calder Composites is a composite manufacturing business in East Lancashire which came to The Design Grove for web and branding support. Starting with a logo to progressing onto developing a website.

Logo Design

The businesses links with the River Calder due to their physical location was the inspiration behind the brand name itself. So using blues and a swirl to represent water, I created the company logo and colour palette.

Web Design

Using the web builder platform Divi Theme Builder, I created a WordPress website which provided a flavour of the businesses service offering. As a new business, the intention is for the website to grow as the business grows adding more to show the portfolio.

LOgo Design

The graphical element was born out of a swirl that represented the flow of water and movement. The shape is to reflect the two C’s of Calder Composites. Some alternative options were provided before the business settled on this one.

WEB Design

The website takes on a nice clean look with the use of dark blue overlay and white text to make a nice hero image. I chose orange as the highlighter colour because it stands out really well and is ideal for CTA buttons and links.
